General School Rules

I. Arrive on time. Come prepared to learn. 

II. Move quietly and quickly duringthe change of periods. No running, pushing or horseplay at any time.Safety is important!

III. You must have a pass to leave your classroom. No one mayleave the class in the first and last ten minutes of the periodexcept in an emergency.

IV. Show courtesy, kindness and respect for others at alltimes. Be a good citizen and scholar. Be a team player, help otherssucceed.

  • Never do anything to harrass or harm another personphysically, verbally or emotionally.
  • Never do anything to interrupt the learning of otherstudents.

  • Use appropriate language at all times: no swearing, loud,offensive or obscene words. 

  • Respect your own work and the work of others. Plagiarismand other forms of cheating are forbidden. 
  • Use books, equipment, computers, furniture and spaces withcare. Don't litter. Be proud of your school and keep it looking its best.
  • Help younger students and those new to the building learnthe rules and respect the space.
V. Dress appropriately. Follow the School Dress Code

VI. Demonstrate positive behavior. Be a good ambassador for Booker T.

VII. There is zero tolerance for fighting, carrying weapons, stealing, smoking, drinking alcohol, or usingother drugs in school or on school grounds.

VIII. All students must be immunized. Forms areavailable in the main office.  The Health Clinic in the schoolcan provide shots if consent forms are signed by parents or guardians.

IX. Help others whenever you can. Every memberof the school community is important. Always give your personal best effort.

X. Permission slips must be signed by parentsand on file prior to any class trip. 

XI. Monthly reduced fair student bus passes willbe issued to eligible students in the main office. Lost cards mustbe reported to the classroom teacher and the mainoffice.

XII. Fire drills are serious business. Studentsmust know the location of each fire exit. At the signal, studentsmust line up double file, and silently and move quickly out the doorand exit and away from the building as directed by their teacher.
