Why were the Manhattan Valley, Morningside Heritage and Charles Drew Programs consolidated?

We combined the three programs to better meet the changing needs of our students, to better deal with the changing demographics of our neighborhood and to strengthen the program for all the students. By combining these three programs, we are better able to address students' needs, differentiate instruction and to provide a more rigorous program for all the students. The new program is known as C.O.R.E. ­ Creating Opportunities for Rigorous Education.
