There will be a BAKE SALE during parent-teacher conferences. Pie Sale! Bake a pie – buy a pie for Thanksgiving! Please make sure to bake or buy items to sell, which can be brought in during afternoon or evening parent teacher conferences. If you can help organize or participate during the bake sale, please contact Mary Beth Walsh 212-799-7049 marybeth@way.com The INTERNATIONAL DINNER has been scheduled for Thursday, January 25th. This is a FAMILY event; please bring a dish (preferably a family favorite or ethnic dish) to feed at least 10 people. If you wish to help organize the event, please contact Valarie Bennett, vbennett@nyc.rr.com It is time to start getting donations for the auction! Donations are already coming in; the more donations we get, the more money we can raise for our children. You can download the donation form at: www.ms54.org. Click on ‘for parents’ then click on ‘Parent Teachers Association’, then ‘Auction 2006-2007’. ..and check back often –we will be posting donations regularly as they come in! PARENT SAFETY PATROLS are starting in the mornings as of 11/13 and will run from 7:30-8:45 am. The playground and streets around the school will be covered. Schedules will be coordinated by class reps. If each homeroom participates, we can cover the whole school year with every parent working one morning. CLASS REPS if you have not forwarded your class list to Anne Pejovich, please do so as soon as possible. If your class does not have a class rep, please contact Anne Pejovich if you can help out with this important function. The PTA is forming a committee to work on a SCHOOL HANDBOOK. If you would like to participate on this committee or have suggestions as to topics you would like to see covered in the handbook, please contact Mary Beth Walsh 212/799-7049 or marybeth@way.com.
