The 8th Grade Bake Sale is on Wednesday, January 23rd. Bake cookies,
cupcakes, brownies - send them in that day. The proceeds will cover
the expenses of the Feb. 8 dance - any extra money will be donated to
a school in New Orleans.

On Tuesday, January 22, parent volunteers will call MS 54 families in
support of the Pledge Drive, from 5:30-9 (our thanks to Princeton
Review for donating the space and phones). The Pledge Drive is our
most efficient fundraiser, and the phone-a-thon is intended to raise
its visibility and reach out to a wider audience. We will attempt to
exclude families who have already contributed, but our data cleaning
capabilities are limited. All of our callers will be parent
volunteers donating their time, so please be generous and
understanding when they call and ask for your support of our school.

There will be a bake sale that day and evening, including a pie sale, and we are looking for parent volunteers to bake pies and help at the bake sale.

***LOOSE CHANGE WANTED
Class 702, in collaboration with the BTW MS54 After School Community
Service Club, is having a "Loose Change Drive" to fund The Thousand
Smiles Foundation, a non-profit organization to help children with
facial deformities around the world. Send in your loose change through
November 2. Donate what you can.
