From a Sept 21 2006 Letter from the Principal

What is your vision?

I want every child to receive the highest caliber education to be challenged to think, to question and to work hard. I want each child to have many exhilarating moments in the classroom. I hope that their classes and their experience in school will open their eyes and spark their interest in new subjects and ideas. Each year, I hope they discover skills, talents and interests they may not have tapped into before. I want them to leave middle school with the skills necessary to become life-long students study skills, writing skills, reading skills, questioning skills. I want them to meet new people, contribute to the school community and to the community in which we live. I want their classroom experiences punctuated by other eye-opening experiences leadership opportunities, community service projects, trips and cultural experiences. Booker T. should be the middle school we all wanted to attend.
